The Joseph “JoJo” LaRosa Foundation was founded in 2021 by JoJo's mother, Gina Mastrantoni, with the mission to support both children like JoJo who are in the fight for their lives. The Foundation also provides support to their families to lessen the burden of their gruesome realities.
Joseph LaRosa, or JoJo as most called him, was a tremendously loved brother, son, nephew, cousin, grandson, friend, and teammate who was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor/Sarcoma (DSRCT) in 2018. JoJo fought this cancer for over 3 years yet often aimed to find humor in extremely difficult situations. He remained loyal to his beliefs, his faith and all of his loved ones while always maintaining a brave stature.
Despite hundreds of setbacks over those years, JoJo’s determination and courage never wavered as he always had his eyes on the life he was fighting for. JoJo can be described in many heroic ways, one being his calling to be generous with empathy for the people he loved even in the face of his own suffering.
This foundation is indescribably proud to honor Jojo’s legacy with the goal to contribute positive change and support to pediatric cancer fighters/survivors and their families.
